How do I setup up my new Veilux H.264 standalone DVR's system so I can remote view it?

In order to setup remote view you will need to have access to the DVR system and you will need access to a computer system with internet access. This guide shows you how to setup your DVR to remote view with a USB mouse hooked up to the system. You can remove the USB mouse once remote view is completed. You can also us the arrow buttons on the DVR systems and follow the same steps but the buttons steps as not listed on this guide.

First you will need to click on the menu button located in the lower left hand corner of the screen a pictured below.

 

The next step you will need to log into your DVR system.

Please note the default password for Admin is: 11111111

Once you have looged in you will see the following menu and you will need to choose System option

 

After you click on systems you will then see a drop down menu. Here you will choose the network option.

 

If you are not using a static IP you will need to choose the DHCP option. This is recommended for most users.

If you are using a static IP address you will NOT check DHCP & you will need to click and manual input the IP, subnet, Gateway, & DNS1 as shown below.

If you are not using an IP addresses you will choose detect. This may take up to a couple of minutes.

Please note it is a good ideal to write down your IP address it will be need when installing the CMS software.

Be sure that your LAN cable is plugged in before you click detect.

If you get an IP address of 0.0.0.0 please check your cables and redo this step.

Please note that you cannot use a cross over cable. Most cross over cables are orange color cable.

Now you will need to click on the ok button to save this setting in the menu as shown below.

Now you will need to click on the X button to save the settings to your DVR unit as shown below.

You are now at the main screen of the menu and your DVR is set up for remote veiwing.

You will now need to set up the CMS software to remote view your system from your PC.
